The room won't cool down, the unit is dripping water onto the floor, there's ice forming on the outdoor pipework, it's rattling when it starts, or the remote is showing a code that means nothing to you. It's a way of paying for the same call-out again next summer. One thing we won't do is offer a quick recharge if refrigerant is low. Refrigerant doesn't just disappear, if a system has lost it, there's a leak somewhere, and simply adding more without finding and fixing that leak just means you're back to square one in a few months. The right approach is leak detection and repair first, then a proper recharge, so the fix actually holds.
