We do both. We start by sitting down with you to work out a layout that actually suits your space and how you use it, then carry that plan through every stage of the build ourselves. That matters because a bathroom is really a small, high-stakes plumbing job wearing nice tiles. Get the waterproofing wrong, or rush the first-fix pipework, and problems show up months later behind a wall you've just finished. We'd rather take the time to get it right the first time. > A bathroom is only as good as the work you can't see once it's tiled over. Our process generally runs in stages: strip-out and preparation, first-fix plumbing (and electrics where needed, carried out by a qualified electrician), waterproofing (tanking) in shower and bath areas, tiling, then second-fix, where we fit the sanitaryware, connect everything up, and seal the joints properly. Nothing gets tiled over until the waterproofing has had the time it needs to cure. More information ### What's usually included - Design and layout planning before any work starts - Removal of old fixtures, tiles and finishes - Updated water supply and drainage for the new layout - Waterproofing in wet zones before tiling - Tiling and other wall or floor finishes - Fitting sanitaryware, taps, showers and accessories, with joints sealed Hidden problems are the thing most homeowners worry about, and fairly so. Old pipework, damp behind existing tiles, or wiring that doesn't meet current standards can all add time to a job. We flag these early where possible rather than letting them surface halfway through, and we're upfront about what any changes mean for cost and timescale. A straightforward bathroom replacement typically takes around one to two weeks, while a full reconfiguration with new plumbing, electrics and a wet room can take longer. We'll give you a realistic timescale once we've seen the space. Do you handle the design as well as the fitting? Yes, this is what we specialise in. We work through the layout with you first, then carry it out ourselves rather than handing it off to different trades. Can you move the position of the toilet, basin or shower? In most cases yes, though moving drainage and supply pipework further from existing runs can add time and cost. We'll talk you through what's practical for your layout. Will you sort the electrics too? Any electrical work, such as lighting, extractor fans or shaver points, is carried out by a qualified electrician. We coordinate this as part of the job. Are you Gas Safe registered? Yes. We are Gas Safe registered for domestic gas work, registration 568345, and an accredited Vaillant installer, which is relevant if your bathroom project involves moving or connecting to gas-fed heating. What if you find damp or rot once the old bathroom is stripped out? It happens more often than people expect, especially in older homes. We'll flag it as soon as we find it, explain what's involved in putting it right, and agree the cost with you before carrying on. Do you do wet rooms and accessible bathrooms? Yes, both are part of our regular work, including level-access wet rooms and adaptations for easier day-to-day use. Which areas do you cover for bathroom installation?
