We design and install bathrooms from first fix through to the final tile, so the tiling is never treated as an isolated job bolted onto someone else's work. It's planned alongside the layout, the plumbing and the waterproofing from the start. Before any tiles go up, the surfaces need to be sound, level and properly waterproofed, especially around showers, baths and wet floor areas. We take time over the layout too, working out where cuts fall and how tiles sit around pipework, valves, niches and doorways, so the finished wall or floor looks deliberate rather than patched together. Tiles are fixed, spaced evenly, then grouted and sealed with silicone at the corners and movement joints, which is where a lot of bathrooms start to look tired if it's rushed. > A tiling job is only as good as the prep underneath it. The most common worry we hear is about damp or leaks showing up later, usually because a previous job skipped proper waterproofing. Getting that stage right, and taking the time to plan tile layout before fixing anything, is what keeps a bathroom looking sharp and staying watertight for years rather than months. Do you do tiling on its own, or only as part of a full bathroom fit? We mostly cover tiling as part of a full bathroom design and installation, but we also take on retiling and repair jobs on existing bathrooms. How long does bathroom tiling usually take? It depends on the size of the bathroom and how much prep and waterproofing is needed, but we'll always give you a realistic timeframe before starting. Will you remove our old tiles first? Yes, old tiles or damaged finishes are removed and the surface is checked and prepared before any new tiling goes on. How do you stop water getting behind the tiles later? Wet areas are waterproofed (tanked) before tiling begins, and silicone is used at corners and movement joints to keep everything sealed. Do you tile floors as well as walls? Yes, including getting the correct falls towards the drain in shower areas and wet rooms. Are you qualified for the plumbing side too? Yes. We are Gas Safe registered for domestic gas work, registration 568345, and an accredited Vaillant installer, alongside the full plumbing and bathroom fitting service.
