Kitchen Plumbing

From a new sink and tap to full appliance hookups and leak repairs, we handle kitchen plumbing carefully and tidily so your kitchen works properly from day one. Homeowners across Brighton, Hove and Sussex call us for straightforward, well-finished plumbing without the mess.

What we cover in kitchen plumbing

Kitchen plumbing covers more than just a leaking tap. Here's where we're most often called in.

Sink and Tap Installation

Fitting new sinks and taps, or replacing worn ones, with everything sealed and tested before we leave.

Appliance Connections

Water and waste hookups for dishwashers, washing machines and other kitchen appliances.

Leak Repairs and Drain Clearing

Tracking down hidden leaks under sinks or in waste pipes, and clearing slow or blocked drains.

First and Second Fix for Renovations

Rough-in pipework during a refit or extension, then final connections once cabinets and worktops are in.

Getting the everyday plumbing right

Kitchen plumbing covers everything from a dripping tap to a full rerouting of pipework for a new layout. It's one of the most-used parts of any home's plumbing, so when something's wrong, you notice quickly, and when it's done properly, you don't think about it again. We work on sinks, taps, waste pipes, dishwasher and appliance connections, and the leaks and slow drains that come with wear and tear.

Our approach is straightforward. We look at what's there, work out what needs replacing or rerouting, and get on with it cleanly, protecting floors and worktops as we go. Once fittings are in, we pressure test and check for leaks properly rather than assuming everything's fine, because a small leak under a sink can sit unnoticed for weeks and cause real damage to cabinets and flooring.

A tidy job under the sink matters just as much as a tidy job you can see.

If you're renovating rather than just replacing a tap, we can do the first-fix pipework before your kitchen goes in, then come back for the final connections once cabinets and worktops are fitted. That's common with kitchen refits, extensions and loft conversions, where the pipe runs often need to change to suit a new layout.

More information

Common concerns we deal with

  • Old or leaking under-sink pipework that's been patched up before
  • Appliance hookups for dishwashers or washing machines that need dedicated supply and waste
  • Hidden pipework behind walls or under floors during a renovation
  • Slow-draining sinks caused by partial blockages rather than full clogs

Leaks aren't always obvious straight away, which is exactly why we test properly before we finish.

We cover Brighton, Hove, Woodingdean, Worthing, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Seaford and the surrounding Sussex area, working from our base in Woodingdean. Whether it's a single tap replacement or the plumbing behind a full kitchen refit, we treat it with the same care and the same attention to a proper, leak-free finish. If you're weighing up a broader project, our real strength is full bathroom design and installation, but kitchen plumbing gets exactly the same standard of tidy, considered work.

Before you book

A few things people usually want to know before booking kitchen plumbing work.

Can you fit a new sink and tap in one visit?
Most straightforward sink and tap swaps can be done in a single visit, provided the existing pipework is in reasonable condition. If we find anything unexpected underneath, we'll flag it before doing extra work.
Do you connect dishwashers and washing machines?
Yes, we handle water supply and waste connections for dishwashers, washing machines and similar appliances, making sure they're properly plumbed in and tested.
I've got a leak under my sink, how quickly can you come out?
We aim to get to leaks promptly since they can cause damage to cabinets and flooring if left. Call us on 01273 911551 and we'll do our best to fit you in quickly.
Do you do the pipework for a full kitchen renovation?
Yes, we carry out first-fix pipework before cabinets and worktops go in, then return for second-fix and final connections. This is common for kitchen refits, extensions and loft conversions.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes, we're Gas Safe registered for domestic gas work. Kitchen plumbing itself is mainly water supply and drainage, but if your kitchen work touches gas appliances, we're qualified to handle that too.
Which areas do you cover for kitchen plumbing?
We're based in Woodingdean and cover Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Seaford and the surrounding Sussex area.
What if my kitchen drain keeps blocking?
Recurring blockages usually point to a partial obstruction or a pipe run that isn't draining correctly. We'll clear the immediate issue and check the wider setup so it doesn't keep coming back.
