Emergency Boiler Repair
When your boiler packs in, you want it sorted properly and without fuss. R.K Plumbing & Heating are Gas Safe registered for domestic gas work, registration 568345, and we get to work fast, diagnosing the fault and getting your heat and hot water back safely.

What we cover in an emergency
Boiler faults come in all shapes and sizes. Here's what we're most often called out for across Brighton, Hove and the surrounding Sussex towns.
Boiler Fault Diagnosis
Reading error codes, checking pressure and flow, and finding the actual cause rather than guessing.
No Heat or Hot Water Repairs
Getting your heating and hot water working again after a breakdown, as quickly as safely possible.
Leak & Pressure Problems
Tracing leaks and pressure drops back to the source and fixing them properly, not just topping up and hoping.
Post-Repair Safety Checks
Testing and recommissioning the boiler once repaired, so it's running safely and reliably.
Getting your heating back on, safely and properly
A boiler that's stopped working, or is doing something it shouldn't, isn't something to leave. Whether it's no heat, no hot water, a leak, strange noises, or a pressure gauge that won't sit still, we deal with these faults regularly for homeowners across Brighton, Hove and the wider Sussex area, and we treat every call as urgent because we know what it means to be without heating.
We start with a quick conversation over the phone to understand what's happened, any error codes showing, and whether there's anything that needs immediate attention for safety. On arrival, the first job is always to make sure the boiler and surrounding system are safe, then we diagnose the fault properly before touching anything.
A boiler fixed properly the first time beats a quick patch that fails again next week.
Most faults come down to a handful of common causes: failed valves, worn pumps, faulty controls, or a burner or heat exchanger issue. Where we can fix it on the spot, we will. If a part needs ordering in, we'll stabilise the boiler where possible and be straight with you about what happens next and when we can come back.
More information
What we're looking for
- Fault codes, unusual noises, or recent changes before the breakdown
- Boiler pressure and whether it's holding or dropping
- Signs of leaks, corrosion, or condensate pipe blockages
- Whether the issue is isolated or affecting other parts of the heating system
If you can smell gas, the advice is always the same: turn off the boiler and gas supply if it's safe to do so, open windows, and don't attempt any DIY fixes. Get in touch straight away and we'll advise on next steps.
Being Gas Safe registered isn't a nice-to-have, it's the minimum you should expect from anyone touching your boiler.
We are based in Woodingdean and cover Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Haywards Heath, Seaford, Burgess Hill and surrounding Sussex towns. As an accredited Vaillant installer we're well placed on Vaillant boilers in particular, but we work on the full range of domestic makes and models, always with the same focus on doing the job properly and leaving things tidy behind us. If your boiler has packed in, give us a call and we'll talk through what's going on and get someone out to you.
