Bath Installation
Whether you're swapping a tired old tub for something new or fitting a bath as part of a bigger bathroom project, we install it properly, level, secure and sealed, with no mess left behind.
What's involved in a bath fit
Bath installation covers a few distinct jobs, all done to the same standard whether it's a standalone swap or part of a full bathroom refit.
Old Bath Removal
Safely disconnecting and taking out your existing tub, tiles or panels where needed, ready for the new one.
Bath Fitting & Levelling
Assembling supports or legs and setting the bath level and secure before any connections are made.
Waste, Overflow & Tap Connection
Connecting and testing the waste, overflow and taps so everything runs and drains without leaks.
Sealing & Finishing
A neat waterproof seal where the bath meets the wall, plus panels or trims for a finished look.
Getting your bath fitted properly, the first time
A bath sounds simple until it isn't level, the waste weeps, or the sealant fails six months later. Fitting a bath properly means clearing the old one out cleanly, checking the floor and walls are in good shape, and making sure the new bath sits level and secure before a single pipe is connected. It's a job for homeowners replacing a worn-out tub, or for anyone part-way through a bigger bathroom project who needs the bath itself done right.
Our approach starts with turning off the water and stripping out the old bath and any surrounding tiles or panels that need to go. The new bath gets assembled, its legs or supports fitted, and it's checked with a spirit level before it's fixed in place, whether that's with brackets, battens or adhesive depending on the bath. Waste, overflow and taps are connected and tested, and the whole thing is filled and checked for leaks before we call it done.
A bath that's level, watertight and properly sealed shouldn't be something you have to think about again for years.
The finishing seal matters as much as anything underneath it. We take the time to get a clean, even bead of sealant where the bath meets the wall, and we'll always let you know how long it needs to cure before the bath gets used properly. It's a small step that stops a lot of future headaches.
More information
Most bath installations we do are part of a bathroom that's being redesigned rather than a simple like-for-like swap, which is where design and fit really come together. We'll talk through bath shape and position early on so it works with the space, the drainage and everything else going in around it, rather than treating the bath as an afterthought.
Tidy work and a proper finish matter more to most people than anything else, and that's how we judge our own jobs too.
We are based in Woodingdean and cover Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Haywards Heath, Seaford, Burgess Hill and surrounding Sussex towns. If you're planning a new bathroom or just need a straightforward bath swap done without fuss, get in touch and we'll talk through what's involved for your space.
