Bathroom Renovation

We design and install complete bathroom renovations for homeowners across Brighton, Hove and the surrounding Sussex towns, handling everything from first fix to final tiling so you don't have to juggle trades.

What's covered in your renovation

Every bathroom renovation is treated as one complete project, from early design decisions through to the finishing touches.

Bathroom Design & Planning

We help you plan the layout, fixtures and finishes before any work starts, so there are no surprises once demolition begins.

Full Strip-Out & First/Second Fix

Old suites, tiling and pipework removed and replaced, including all the plumbing and electrical work behind the scenes.

Wet Rooms & Tiling

Properly waterproofed wet areas and neatly finished tiling that's built to last, not just look good on day one.

En-Suites & Accessible Bathrooms

Space-efficient en-suite installs and accessible bathroom adaptations designed around how you actually use the room.

A renovation that's planned properly, not just pulled apart

A bathroom renovation is more than swapping a bath for a shower. It's a staged job: design and budgeting first, then strip-out, plumbing and electrical work, waterproofing, new floor and wall finishes, fixtures, and a final check to make sure everything's sealed, working and finished properly. That's the process we follow on every job, whether it's a full family bathroom, a wet room, or an en-suite off a new loft conversion.

We start by talking through what you actually want the room to do, then design around that before a single tile comes off the wall. Once we start, the sequence is the same every time: strip out, first-fix plumbing and any electrics, waterproof the wet areas properly, then tiling, fixtures, and finishing touches like sealant and trims.

A bathroom is only as good as what's behind the tiles.

Most of the questions we get are about disruption and hidden problems. Older Sussex homes especially can throw up surprises once we open things up, damaged subfloors, old pipework, damp that wasn't visible before. We flag anything like that as soon as we find it, price it properly, and keep you in the loop rather than ploughing on regardless.

More information

We work across Brighton, Hove, Woodingdean, Worthing, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Haywards Heath, Seaford and surrounding Sussex towns, and we're based at our workshop in Woodingdean if you'd like to talk things through in person. As a Gas Safe registered, accredited Vaillant installer, we can also fold in any heating changes the bathroom needs, like moving a radiator or updating pipework, without bringing in another trade.

Tidy sites and proper finishing matter as much as the design itself.

If you're planning a renovation, whether it's a full family bathroom refresh or a wet room as part of an extension, the best starting point is a conversation about what you want and a look at the space. From there we can talk through design, timescale and what to expect once work starts.

100/10! Ryan and his crew turned my old raggety bathroom into a spa-like oasis. The finish is gorgeous, and the advice I received throughout was top tier. Not only were they incredibly professional, but they were all so lovely and respectful of our home making sure that everything was tidy and clean throughout the reno. This is my first reno in my new house and I was really nervous, but I had no reason to be, it really is exactly what I had in mind. Thank you so much R K Plumbing and Heating you are the best! Check out that before and after!!

Before you book

Answers to the questions we're asked most before starting a bathroom renovation.

How long does a bathroom renovation take?
It depends on the scope, but most full renovations take one to two weeks once work starts, longer for wet rooms or if we uncover issues once we strip the room back.
Do you handle the design as well as the installation?
Yes, design and installation is our main focus. We'll help you plan the layout, fixtures and finishes before any work begins, then carry out the full fit.
What happens if you find a problem once you start?
We flag it straight away, explain what we've found and what it means for cost and timescale, and agree next steps with you before carrying on.
Can you move plumbing and radiators as part of the renovation?
Yes, first and second fix plumbing and heating changes are part of most renovations we do, and as a Gas Safe registered, accredited Vaillant installer we can handle any related heating work too.
Do I need to be without a bathroom during the work?
For most of the project the bathroom will be out of use, so it's worth planning an alternative for washing during that time, especially if it's your only bathroom.
Which areas do you cover for bathroom renovations?
We're based in Woodingdean and work across Brighton and Hove plus Worthing, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Haywards Heath, Seaford and surrounding Sussex towns.
Do you do wet rooms and accessible bathrooms?
Yes, wet rooms, en-suites and accessible bathroom adaptations are all part of what we design and install, with waterproofing treated as a core part of the job, not an extra.
How do you keep the site tidy during the work?
We work methodically room by room, protect the rest of the house while we're on site, and clear up properly at the end of each day, it's something our customers consistently value.
