Combi Boiler Installation

If you need a new combi boiler fitted or your old one replaced, we'll handle everything from removing the old system to commissioning the new one, cleanly and with minimum disruption to your home.

What's included with your installation

Combi boiler installation covers more than just fitting the unit, here's what we take care of along the way.

Boiler Removal & Replacement

We safely disconnect and remove your old boiler, or convert an existing system, before fitting the new one.

Flue & Condensate Installation

Flue and condensate pipework are fitted and routed to meet safety clearances and drain properly.

System Flush & Testing

We flush the heating circuit to clear sludge and debris, then test and commission the new boiler thoroughly.

Controls Handover & Advice

We talk you through your new controls, pressure checks and simple maintenance before we leave.

Getting a new combi boiler fitted properly

A combi boiler gives you central heating and hot water on demand from one compact unit, no cylinder, no tank in the loft, just hot water when you turn the tap. It suits most homes across Brighton, Hove and the surrounding Sussex towns well, particularly where space is tight or an old cylinder is due for replacement anyway. We fit new combi boilers, replace failing ones, and convert homes over from older conventional systems.

Every job starts with checking the property is right for a combi: gas supply capacity, a sensible flue route, and water pressure that will give you decent hot water flow. On the day, we isolate the existing system, remove the old boiler or tanks if they're being taken out, mount the new unit, and connect the gas, water, electrics, flue and condensate pipework. We often recommend flushing the heating circuit too, so the new boiler isn't working against years of sludge sitting in old radiators and pipework.

A boiler swap should leave your home cleaner than we found it, not covered in dust and pipe offcuts.

Once everything's connected we fill and test the system, check for leaks, confirm heating and hot water are both working properly, and commission the boiler formally. Before we go, we'll walk you through the controls, show you how to check pressure, and explain what annual servicing involves.

More information

A common worry is disruption, especially if a cylinder or tank is coming out as part of a conversion. We plan the work so there's as little mess and downtime as possible, and we're upfront beforehand about what's involved so there are no surprises on the day. Access for future servicing, condensate drainage and flue positioning all get considered properly at the planning stage, not worked around afterwards.

We're Gas Safe registered for domestic work and an accredited Vaillant installer, and we cover Woodingdean, Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Haywards Heath, Seaford and the towns in between. Whether it's a straight like-for-like replacement or a full conversion from an older system, we treat it as work in someone's home, which means tidy dust sheets, careful pipework, and leaving the place as we found it.

If your current boiler is on its last legs, struggling with hot water pressure, or you're just planning ahead, get in touch and we can talk through what a combi conversion or replacement would involve for your particular setup.

Had an old boiler replaced with a Combi system last week by Ryan and his team, Jake and Sam. I was over the moon with the work they carried out, explaining everything along the way and leaving my home immaculate when the job was completed. The team replaced our old boiler and tank with a new combi boiler. The job included unforeseen pipe upgrades which involved invasive work to most of the house. The guys rose to the extra challenge and completed the job on time and left the house spotless. Really friendly and professional and take pride in their work. Would highly recommend.

Before you book

Answers to the questions we get asked most about combi boiler installations.

How long does a combi boiler installation take?
A straightforward like-for-like swap usually takes around a day. If we're converting from a conventional system with a cylinder and tanks being removed, it can take longer, we'll give you a realistic timescale before starting.
Is my home suitable for a combi boiler?
Most homes are, but it depends on gas supply capacity, a workable flue route and decent incoming water pressure. We check this before recommending a combi over other options.
Do I need to have my heating system flushed?
We often recommend a flush to clear sludge and debris from old radiators and pipework, as it helps protect your new boiler and keeps it running efficiently.
Are you qualified to do this work?
Yes, we're Gas Safe registered for domestic gas work and an accredited Vaillant installer, so you're covered on both the gas safety and manufacturer side.
Will I lose my airing cupboard cylinder?
If you're converting from a system with a cylinder, it's usually removed as part of the switch to a combi, freeing up that space. We'll talk through what that means for your home before we start.
Do you cover my area?
We are based in Woodingdean and cover Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Haywards Heath, Seaford, Burgess Hill and surrounding Sussex towns.
What happens after the boiler is fitted?
We test the system thoroughly, commission the boiler, and talk you through the controls and pressure checks. Annual servicing after that keeps things running efficiently and safely.
Can you supply and fit a specific make of boiler?
We're an accredited Vaillant installer and happy to discuss other makes too, we'll advise on what suits your home and budget honestly.
